Well… Today I’m going to talk about my best holidays ever. In 2012 my father works in Valdivia so my mom decided to travel to Valdivia for holidays, were about eight hours of travel on bus… so boring When we arrived, my father went to find us at the bus station and he took us to some cabins in the area. As it was winter, it rained almost every day but that did not stop us to get to know the area. The place was incredibly beautiful, we play games, talk and get together as a family on this trip, for me that is priceless. I remember that this year's beer festival was held in winter too ... and when we went we tasted very exotic beers. The trip lasted about two weeks, it was a trip where I could ate new food and meet new people… I learned a lot on this trip. For my, holidays are the time we have for resting and spending time with family… it is why these holidays were the best of my life, since I love the winter, southern and spend time with my family. ...

I have always wanted to visit China because I really like the culture and incredible landscape. Actually, when I was a child, I wanted to be an anthropologist to visit and learn about the different cultures of China, now I don’t want to be an anthropologist but I still want to visit and learn about China and the different cultures that we can found there. What I know about China… well, I know something about wildlife and a little famous stories of China like a Chinese horoscope story or the lats emperor of China. All I know I have seen in documentaries like “wildlife China” and others. Also I know some words and typography because my brother used to have Chinese lessons and he used to teach me. In this blog I’m going to talk about my travel to USA. In April 23 th my mom told me that we were going to travel to Disney world, so we took the fly and when we arrived in New York my uncle and my aunt were waiting for us at the airport, that day I met my cousins Frank and Rose Mary. After a week I discovered that we were not going to Disney world but also I discovered that we were going to live in that place for ever… that was shocking.  After two months my mom enrolled me in school…  I really hated school because I did not understand anything but when the days passed I met some friends… From that moment on I began to enjoy school. In this blog I’m going to talk about my favourite class of the semester… “El químico farmacéutico y su acción” in this class we saw the labor of the pharmacist, I liked this class because it is the pure essence of my college career… the teachers in charge of this class showed us the different areas in which pharmacists can work, the class was divided into four topics: discussion session, informative talks, pharmaceutical terminology and visits of specialized areas. Discussion session, in this part of the class teachers they proposed a particular issue related to the pharmacy and we as students had to investigate and discuss the topic (in my opinion it was a very good session). Informative talks, in this session in these sessions were invited professionals from the different areas in which pharmacist can exercise and they told us their school and professional experiences. In this blog i am going to talk about Alexander Fleming. He was a London scientist who was born in Dervel, Scotland. (1881-1955), also he was a doctor who worked in London, after that he worked like a military doctor in France, in this job he was stunned by infections caused by bullets, for this reason he decided once the war was finished he would return to seek a new antiseptic. It is said that all discoveries of alexander were a coincidence, for example the lysine, he found this in the middle of a gangrene research at the same way he found the penicillin in 1928 at age of 48 years old. I like the job of Alexander because he found a cure for the infections which were one of main causes of death in those years. Some of the diseases cured by penicillin are tuberculosis, bacterial pneumonia, rheumatic fever among others. It was revolution on the health area because with penicillin the life expectancy was increase a lot Alexander won a Nobel Prize for the discovery of penicill...

When I think about my favourite series I can only think of one... Breaking bad. This series was created by Vince Gilligan and this series consist of five seasons (personally my favourites seasons are the first and fifth).  In this series we will find the story of a character (Walter White), who is a chemistry teacher in a high school (I do not want to give spoilers :s) but Walt turns into a criminal (he produce and trafficked methamphetamines), but of course he has a double life. Well… I love this series because the story is very interesting… see as a “good” man is transformed by money and especially for power is just woooow… Also I like how the characters evolve with the story. With this series we can put ourselves in different roles such as drug diallers or policeman (DEA), etc. About the final (this is not a spoiler)… I personally was shocked with most of the final chapters but the final chapter really left me speechless… was unbelievable.

Who took this photograph? Good question but…I don't remember who took this photograph but I think that a school partner took this picture when we arrived at Tantauco (this is a national reserve and is amazing) what it shows? This photograph shows a magnificent piece of nature and also it shows me as a spectator; as well it shows the first look at a new world (for me :D) and I remember that moment every time that I see this picture. when it was taken? it was taken three years ago, that day was the day that i arrived at Tantauco (Chiloé)... before seeing this piece of nature I felt so bad as if sick because I was exhausted by the trip, but see this improved it all. why you like it? I like it because that was the best moment of my trip also I like this picture cause this photo remind me the fresh air and the delicious water (it was brown like a tee and had a peculiar taste… I will never forget that taste) 

I don't have a favourite music genre but I like many of them. I used to like rock (“linking park”, “green day”, “sr 71”, “mago de Oz” and “ska-p”) and classic music cause I studied music (actually I love this music and I like to play it with my flute or clarinet). Now I think that I like some music genres like pop, tecno, rock (a little), old school music (like Leodan, La nueva ola, Los prisioneros, etc), classic and Chilean music like Anita Tijoux, Novella inc, Tronic, Los Bunkers… I have liked these music genres since I was 14. Before liking a song, first I have to like the lyrics. Again I don’t have a favourite band but I really like Anita Tijoux and I listen frequently to her songs. Here is my favourite Anita Tijoux’s song at this moment… “Somos sur” I need to say that I discovered Shadia Mansour with this song… and now I like her music especially “So serious” and “Al kufiyyeh 3arabeyyeh”      Shadia Mansour and Ani...

Personally I don't have a favorite object but the one I use the most is my smartphone because I really like to talk. I think that I've had it since my 18 birthday. How I use it... well I use my smartphone to talk with my friends and family so I use whatsapp, instagram and facebook.  I use it for the university too but not too much, just for “u-cursos” and “Gmail”. I have my cellphone all the time but I use it when I want to talk (all day), my mom always says that I’m an addict and it is true. Well I really don’t like it cause it is too old and it’s broken but I don’t have another one. My life without a cellphone… oh god I don’t know but after a while I think I would get used to it.  That's all for today so see you next week dobby's and monkey brain lovers.

well... when I was a child I wanted to be a musician, cause I really like to play flute and clarinet so I studied four years in a music school but I realized that the music was just a hobby for me, since then I have always wanted to be a scientist. When I was 18 I really didn’t know what I wanted to be so I took a gap year to think (but it didn’t work cause finally I didn’t know what I wanted… again -.-!) My powerful options were chemistry and pharmacy, chemical engineering and biochemistry. Why I decided to study chemistry and pharmacy? Well… I really, really like chemistry and health so the only career that includes this point, like I want, was pharmacy. Well… I am Valeria Alejandra Fuenzalida Arcos, I was born in Santiago (Chile) in October 3rd, 1996. In 2001 my family and I moved to the United States of America, but a year later we came back to Chile since then I live at the same place. I live with my mom, daddy and my two older brothers (Carlos and Luis). I studied my high school in Liceo San Pedro in Puente alto and then I took a gap year to prepare PSU. Now I study Pharmacy at University of Chile. My two brothers are studying in the University too. My hobbies… I don’t have real hobbies because I don’t have much time, but when I have some time I like to play transverse flute or play soccer.
